How did Mahathir "save" Rafidah three times?

Shortly after landing at Subang airport on Sunday, he (Mahathir) told a close friend that he had “saved Rafidah three times” in the past, the implication being that he expected more respect from the International Trade and Industry Minister.

The above quote came from an article written by Joceline Tan in The Star yesterday about the confrontation between Mahathir and Rafidah over Proton and the Approved Permits. Neither theSun nor the New Straits Times had anything on the three times Mahathir saved Rafidah.

Tan’s cryptic reference is most intriguing. What did Mahathir mean by saving Rafidah thrice? What were the circumstances leading up to them? Saved her from what? How come none of that was brought up before, when Mahathir was the prime minister?

Rafidah has been dogged by allegations of corruption and nepotism in the past. Did the three times Mahathir “save” her have anything to do with getting her out of those issues raised against her? Or did they involve some other shenanigans?

Can we the Malaysian public expect the mainstream media to go look for the answers to enlighten us instead of just waiting for handouts as usual? Or is that another one of those things that is just too much to ask of them?

Why did Rafiday need saving? What cess pool of her making was she in? How was Mahathir obliged, against his own responsibility, to save her? Was there corruption involved when he was responsible for and had the authority to cite her for what ever she was guilty of, but instead saved her? What was the nature of corruption involved?

Given the many times that DSAI had gone to the police and ACA regards Rafidah, I will not be surprised if it is more than 3 times that she had been saved. Dr. M has probably saved himself more often than that, given the authority he wielded over the police and ACA.

It adds credibility to the stories that Mahathir used to keep his minions under tight lease. He would protect them from the punishments of their errant ways as long as they follow or do as he says. Now that the hand that hold the lease is no longer there, they think that they are now free. Are they really?

And the plot thickens.

If he saved Rafidah 3 times, what about the others, Ling, Sami came to my mind. Perhaps now, he regrets doing so.

If it is true than Dr M saves Rafidah from troubles, then it is proven than Dr M is not a leader we can trust! He cares about his cronies and their and his interest, never the interets of Malaysian.

It is unbelievable, but this is dadly the reality of Malaysian politics, and it will go on forever: it depends on who you are, the bigger the shot, the easier it is to get away with your crooked deals, and no fear of prosecution - you scratch my back,I scratch yours.
Rafidah was solidly implicated in the shares scandals to his son-in-law, and it was so blatantly and openly done, and what happen to her? NOTHING, LA! No prosecution of her misdeeds here then, and don't expect it to happen in 2005!
It's the same story about the 10 million shares given to MIC via Samy Vellu - where is it, and who got it in the end? Everybody in Government knows, but Nobody is telling!
Mana Ada Sistem?

M saved R or was it the other way around. The whole cabinet had to keep M as PM, or not, their whole game of get rich quick would be blasted.

Why has so much money been put in so few hands? When are we going to fight back, ACA is run by UMNO, the police is run by UMNO. Even this site maybe run by UMNO.

WHO KNOWS?
