Hi Gwynn,

I understand your feelings very well. I lived off Burmah Road in a house, that was built with leftover materials from mount Miriam Hospital in the 30s. And then the Rent Control Act was repealed, and rents went up stratospherically. So, my parents moved to a small apartment.

But what I'd like to say is have some hope as 'What goes around comes around'. This coming recession is going to be so massive that many deveopment projects will be cancelled, and these 'art gallery' types will close. That will be our opportunity to regain the old Georgetown.

Cheers
Thanneer
